Role Purpose:​

An Assistant Viticulturist is involved in supporting the management of multiple vineyards and leading a team of supervisors and vineyard staff to deliver exceptional results for our clients.
This is a varied, hands-on role combining technical viticulture, operational planning and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing all aspects of vineyard operations across multiple properties.
• Monitoring vine health, pests and diseases.
• Leading, coaching and supporting a team of vineyard supervisors.
• Managing staff to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
• Working collaboratively with the management team to continually improve business performance.

Qualifications and Experience required:​​

​

• A tertiary qualification in Viticulture, Horticulture or a related field (preferred).
• Proven vineyard experience and leadership.
• Strong technical knowledge of vineyard operations and vine health.
• Excellent organisational and planning skills.
• Confidence using technology and learning new software systems.
• Strong communication and people leadership skills.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic and good sense of humour.
• A commitment to health and safety.
• A full New Zealand Driver Licence.​
